Pedalite

Pedalite Fundraising Programme

Pedalite International provides programmes in most countries worldwide for clubs, schools and other groups that wish to provide Pedalite products as part of a fundraising scheme.

Clubs/schools/colleges/Universities are always looking for innovative ways to raise additional funds that are not the usual sponsorship process that goes back to parents each time.  Pedalite has a special fundraising programme that can also promote cycling safety, health and the environment.

The Pedalite fundraising programme consists of clubs/schools/etc promoting to their members and supporters Pedalite's award winning, best selling, environmentally friendly safety products, that are detailed on this website.  The products are then sold to the supporters/members at the same price as they would pay in retail stores, once a month (or more frequent if you wish) an order is sent in by the club/school and the products despatched to the club/school BUT a percentage of the purchase price is returned by Pedalite to the club/school for their fundraising.

Setting up a fundraising programme could not be simpler.  All that you need to do is follow these 4 simple steps. There is no cost to the club/school/university/college (other than a shipping charge on the order), no commitment needs to be made, no minimum order or guarantee of any sales.

  1. Designate a program coordinator at the club/school/university/etc, this is usually a teacher, club secretary, a member of the PTA, a sixth form pupil, etc and have them contact us at sales@emels.com (for the UK) or glendacole@pedalite.com (for the USA or elsewhere) in order to get your fundraising program registered and to see how large of a percentage your organisation qualifies for from the fundraising.
  2. We provide you with all the literature you need for your fundraising campaign.  This will include product information, letters to parents/members, fundraiser log, master order form, etc.   If you want to see this now you can download it via this link or using the "Download Starter Kit" image on the left for US paper size documents.
  3. The club/school promotes the fundraising products through emailing members/parents, sending out letters, talking to family members, selling to people in the road that you live in, etc.  just the same as with any other fundraising.  Provide students/members with the sales kit (collection envelopes, flyers, prices lists, etc) .  We can even supply information for you to post on bulletin boards etc.   Home rooms may want to set and track sales goals.  After your fundraising scheme has made just 10 sales of Pedalite products, Pedalite will provide a product to the school to be awarded to the member/student with the highest sales during the program.
  4. Once a month or more frequently if you wish, the club school completes the order form, based on orders received form supporters, and receives the products ordered.
  5. There is no cost to the club/school/university/college (other than a shipping charge on the order), no commitment needs to be made, no minimum order or guarantee of any sales.

That’s it!   Pedalite products are unique, best selling, environmentally friendly and something not offered by fund raising groups before.   These products are not only a great way to raise funds, but will provide needed safety for children, cyclists, runners, safety officers, skiers, walkers, hikers, etc.  Build your fundraising program on Safety in the Community!

Cycling is an ideal form of transport for young people providing a healthy, cheap and environmentally friendly way to get about, together with a degree of freedom and independence.  Not surprisingly therefore a high percentage of children in the UK and many other countries say they would prefer to cycle to school. As cycling is about three times faster than walking it is perfect for journeys to and from school and is an easy way to keep fit. The government recommends that young people should have a minimum of 1 hour’s moderate, physical activity each day to keep healthy and help prevent serious illness in later life. Cycling to school regularly is a simple and practical way to achieve this.

FACT 75% of accidents happen at, or near, a road junction (Source RoSPA) where cycles need to be seen from the side.
