Bicycle Times: Pedalite Combo Test
March
2011 - "The winning feature of these pedals is their ability to generate and store
energy to power the LEDs via the rotation of the pedal spindle. This means no batteries. ...for the average rider looking for a little extra safety, this is a very effective
answer. I did not feel the extra weight would prevent me from leaving these pedals on my bike year-round...

Anklelite & Baglite Lighting Systems Review
November
2010 - "Riding a bike or a horse is both a good exercise and a cool way of transportation, but sometimes it can be very dangerous specially when there are motor vehicles near you.... All the Pedalite products are well made and although they are a bit pricey, the cost of batteries in just few months of constant use compensates so they pay for themselves. Also they can be recharged with direct sunlight or artificial light so you can just wear them all the time knowing that you’ll always have positioning lights with you.

bag, pedals and ankle lights, our seasonal

Daisy Green Magazine - Pedalite goes the
distance
September
2010 - "The treads are effective - there’s no shoe slippage even in the wet. The safety lights are bright and the build up of electricity during pedalling allows them to continue when pedalling stops, for example, when going downhill.
If cycling is carried out on the roads these days any sort of safety feature is useful and the LEDs are bright enough to be seen in even the sunniest weather".

Ireland's Horse and Pony - Tried and Tested
July
2010 - "Our stable yard is situated on a busy
main road. Over the last few years I have
become increasingly nervous about going out on
the road, even to ride a short distance to get
to quiet lanes. Vehicles speed by without even
seeming to notice the horses, passing too close
for comfort. However, the moment I wore
the Pedalite products there was a difference in
the attitude of drivers, who slowed down and
treated us with a lot more respect. At last I
feel safe enough to ride out again, knowing that
we are going to be noticed by drivers".

Pedalite Review
May
2010 - "Pedalite’s most
well-known product, the pedal lights, are
battery free lights that store energy and
enhance cyclists’ visibility to motorists from
over 1 km away. These lights also increase the
distance between drivers and cyclists,
increasing their safety. The Pedalite Toe Clip
can be easily attached to the pedal lights. This
clip helps the cyclist pedal better, supports
his feet, and lasts for a long time. Customers
who have reviewed Pedalite praise it for its
well-engineered pedal lights, especially their
added protection from potential car accidents."

Pedalite Pedals for your Biking Safety
March
2010 - "If you will be cycling at night,
then you must tell the road of your presence
with Pedalite lights. Most accidents encountered
by cyclists are 75% caused by the side close to
an intersection. Most think that it would bring
too much of a hassle if you would carry some
generator right in your pedals due to its
possible additional weight. This is just one of
the usual troubles that Pedalite secures to
steer their customers away from. They never ever
have any weight issue. For all you need to do is
to clip it in along with the extra toe cages.
They also offer metal stubs to keep the feet
secure and safe during the entire ride.

Pedalite Anklelite
February
2010 - Hooked on Horses - "I thought the Anklelite was light and comfortable to wear,
and I really liked the fact that it charged itself; so that I never had to worry whether it
had enough power whenever I rode.
The design is neat and compact, which was good as it didn’t interfere with my riding whether I wore it around
my arm or boot. I would definitely recommend this product as being ideal for horse riders out hacking, as it i
s also weatherproof.” – Abbey, Hooked on Horses.

Pedalite Solar Lights
February
2010 - Women's Adventure. - "Look, Ma, no batteries!
I’ve seen some solar panels on backpacks and other larger devices and wondered how long it would be before we saw the technology appear in cycling items. These little flashy lights from Pedalite are completely battery-free.
A couple of hours up on a sunny ledge will charge the solar-powered Anklelite up and it’s ready to be turned on in either a solid or a flashy mode. The lights aren’t the brightest LEDs I’ve seen in a bike light but they’re enough to get noticed."

Fitness Product of the Week
February
2010 - Homes Magazine. - "Pedalite is a non battery-dependent bicycle
pedal light. Flashing LEDs in each pedal provide
360 degree conspicuity as the LEDs flash white
to the front, red to the rear and amber to the
sides. The Pedalite works by converting
rotational energy to electrical energy and the
in-built capacitor stores energy so LEDs will
remain flashing for up to 5 minutes after you
stop cycling."

Pedalite Visibility Pedal Lights
January
2010 - Bikelist - " Pedalite's strapline is "Making Cycling Safer", and with the Pedal Lights, they definitely achieve this. These 360 degree light spilling pedals scream, "Give me space I'm on a biiiiike!" through the night. When using these fearsomely bright pedals, cars gave me more space than usual on my daily commute to work, which in winter takes place entirely under the cover of darkness."

Product Reviews: Baglite - a bright idea
December
2009 - Bike Radar - "You've probably seen
reflective rucksack covers – well, this is a rucksack lighting harness. Those three big ‘lights’ – two at the front, one at the rear – are solar panels.
The actual LED lights are two dots on the side of each panel: white ones at the front, red at the rear. Four hours of bright sunshine – or lots more electric lighting – provides enough juice for around seven hours of
flashing."

found the broad platform of the pedal to be a
comfortable base to ride on... On the
Pedalite, given the broad base, the pedal had a
comfortable feel well into the ride..... the pedal provided a good amount of visibility. I liked the fact that the pedal cast light to front, back and sides.
After about 30 minutes of cruising, I arrived safe and sound and felt that I was better visible due to the Pedalites. I was pleased with the overall
performance of the pedal ."
