Ecogrease

Ecogrease - the teflon and petroleum free bike grease

Ecogrease contains no petroleum, and no Teflon. And don't worry, it doesn't contain whale fat or any other animal derivatives. Ecogrease does contain a small quantity of African bee's wax, but the rest is a blend of 100% plant extracts provided by nature.

So is it for chains? No - greases are for bearings, and bike parts you don't want to seize up, like quick release pins or seat posts. Greases are not usually used on bike chains as they are thicker and can attract dirt and grime when on a chain. For your chain, we of course recommend Green Oil, our award winning chain lube.

Not harmful

Look on most grease packs and you will be horrified to see that not only are they harmful or irritant, but that they explicitly say 'dangerous for the environment' on the back.

Ecogrease is not harmful, not irritant, and not 'dangerous for the environment'.  Ecogreasewill not harm you, aquatic life or little animals.

Not tested on animals

Ecogrease is has not been tested on animals - it is tested by real bike riders.

All of Ecogrease's ingredients occur naturally and are safe. None of the ingredients, nor the finished product have been animal tested. Ecogrease contains no animal products or by-products, and is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Recyclable, and Re-usable

Recycling number 2

Reduce, re-use, recycle the saying goes. Ecogrease's bottle can not only be recycled with your plastic milk bottles, but can also be re-used.

Ecogrease's bottle has the recycling code is 2.  The cap is unfortunately made of polypropylene. This is plastic type 5 and not usual recyclable.

Ecogrease bottles are made out of HDPE, or 'High Density Polyethylene', with the recycling code 2 shown above.

Each Ecogrease bottle has a recycled paper label. This can be removed, and recycled again, possibly into a new Ecogrease label!

100% palm oil free

Ecogrease is 100% palm oil free.
